Innovation Marketplace 2022/2023
What
This year’s Innovation Marketplace is hosted by Labosport, a leading company in sports field testing and certification. They set the benchmark for validating sports surfaces and sports equipment. Labosport also assist in delivering safety, performance, durability and sustainability to sport facilities and playgrounds.
Labosport are a FIFA Research Institute, and this project will link directly to the FIFA Quality Programme for playing surfaces.
Labosport will introduce an innovation challenge to be tackled in groups. The theme for this years challenge is:
Athlete-Surface Interaction In Football
Each group will undertake a design study on the innovation focus. Students will be guided through this process by academics from the partner institutions over a 10 week period. Students will have the opportunity to undertake a fieldtrip to visit Labosport research facilities in France to further understand the challenge.
At the end of the 10 weeks students pitch their ideas to Labosport and the other course participants who vote on their favorite solution. It is intended that the final pitch event will be held in Vienna (Austria).
When
The Innovation Marketplace will run between the 5th of October and the 14th of December. 2022.
There will also be a final session that will be held in February 2023 (TBC). This will be in Vienna, Austria.
Who can apply?
The Innovation Marketplace is open to Masters and final year undergraduate students at any of the A4SEE partner institutions
